The George Street Journal are chasing history, looking for back-to-back comedy debate wins for the first time since the last time it happened whilst the Obiter are aiming to break their losing streak of at least one year, which may or may not be their longest ever drought.

Tomorrow night the two publications will duke it out at Good Chat Comedy Club in the looming shadow of Lang Park, in what promises to be the matchup of the century.

Last year’s glorious magnet rabbithole led the GSJ to an unlikely victory last year, with a motley crew of law revue cast members and oldheads taking the chocolates against the Obiter’s stacked lineup of QDU champions and allegedly talented comedians.

In a move reminiscent of Alfie Langer returning from England to win the 2001 State of Origin, the GSJ coach has pulled some old warhorses from the paddock, shoring up a youthful and exuberant spine of [REDACTED], [REDACTED], and [REDACTED]

With this in mind bookies have made their beliefs clear, with the GSJ $1.12 favorites against the Obiter’s $5.33 at the time of publication.

Only time will tell however, and this is simply not one to miss.
